Book – Belong

When the idea of volunteering in an NGO was first introduced, I never imagined it would lead to my becoming an author. 

This book, cataloguing my unfiltered journey, is particularly close to me heart owing, in part, to being my first publication, and because it’s tangible evidence of my efforts.

Below is a glimpse of the Book Blurb and I hope you find the same enjoyment and connection in reading Belong that I did in penning it down.

Topping the class, taking up the main role in a school play, learning to play the guitar and staying back for swimming would be considered more than enough pursuits for a 6th grader. But juggling the direction of a play alongwith all the above activities could either break or make my resolve and be the true judge of my character. 

Is my aim to complete some task and prove myself to be meritorious enough to reach the successful end I had imagined or will I drown and admit defeat in handling my first individual project? ‘Belong’ is the journey of a girl’s magnanimous view on society.Amazingly, it showcases the change society undergoes through the single activity of directing a play which spans a period of five months. The narrative attempts to answer the paramount question, “How do we fit in?”
