My passion for debate translated into love for MUNs in high school. Participating, and eventually leading the International Court of Justice has been the highlight of my school years, not least because of its unconventional committee structure.
MUNs taught me communication, tolerance and acceptance; learning to put across our point and call out the other person while managing to be respectful and acknowledging of their point of view never gets old. And coaching (and guiding) delegates – or, I should say, advocates–to successfully tread that thin line…nothing beats that feeling.
