War breaks
It tears people apart
And when – if they’re repatched
They have the scars.
Ugly uneven stitches
Large gaping holes
Empty eye sockets
A missing arm or leg…
Dolls torn apart with
Fury and vengeance
War regresses
Continents ravaged
Nations split,
Family’s torn,
Decades of impact
Fear, terror, prayer
And incomprehensible teenagers
Not studying, but hoping for the worst…
Apparently failing is the biggest nightmare.
If given a choice, they prefer
Cowering under enemies
Than writing with friends
And, somehow, judgement
Became greater than judgement day
